"Eagle"
fits the image conjoured by that name very well- watchful,
majestic, and elegant. He has careful, wary eyes, long, graceful ears,
and a slender body, with regal bearing. That's not to say that he isn't
energetic when he feels like it, or a bit silly sometimes, and he is
still a fun-loving kid. Eagle is a special boy, with a slim overall
appearance, long, although strong, legs, smooth, wide rump, long,
straight back, well blended neck, and a smooth chest. His head is very
refined in appearance, with a smooth head tapering to a neat muzzle
with a smooth chin and well set eyes. The only thing about Eagle that
is not perfect and proper is the top of his shoulders, in which place
he has inherited one of his Mum's bad traits. They are not as
smoothly fused to each other and his spine as they should be, even
though a lot better than his mother. Eagle throws to his father Tauphan
in almost every respect, having just a little more seriousness, more
delicate face, and not so lovely shoulders. Eagle would have been a very
quality buck, and would have make a great herdsire for a hobby farm, or
small dairy goat herd.
Eagle has now been wethered, as we couldn't sell him as a buck, and has been sold in exchange for a new ram. Eagle is the perfect example of a regal Toggenburg boy. |
Eagle at about two days old. |
