This
is Waygara
Frolic, first Saanen doe of Waygara Stud.
We do not know if she is a purebred Sannen as we bought her without
papers or information. The above pic is her at three years old, about
10:00pm on the night we sold her, just before I took her up to go into
some friends' trailer. She is not in good condition at all after kidding. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

Frolic is a very darling little girl, sweet, a little cheeky and very friendly, with nice neat conformation, good legs and hooves, a nice rumo, but pretty bad shoulders. She is a very very sweet and cute little doe, having been bred at one year old before we bought her, she didn't grow almost as big as she should have. She is now growing with a lot of food though, and has nearly caught up in size. She used to be a main chook food addict, and taught her kids to be the same, but was cured of her addiction by spending a few weeks at a friends place. She has good conformation, extremely easy kidding, a small udder with a pocket, and tiny teats. She is, in other words, a perfect brood-doe, having such easy births, good mothering ability and kid-sized teats. Her first doe kid, Waygara Tweedie, is a lovely girl, and her second doe, Waygara Moonrise, fits that desription perfectly as well. Tweedie has her mother's easy let-down, and we are hoping Frolic will pass that trait on to all her doe kids. We are anxious to see what Moon is like as a milker, but I don't think there is any chance of her having her mother's small teats, because as a seven month old, Moon's teats are as big as her mother's! Frolic's January 09 buck kid, Waygara Seaspray, is an absoloutly huge, handsome, and strong wether, with great conformation, temperament and build. It was a great shame to have to wether him, but with his mother kidding again to the same buck in the same year, we should soon have another Sea. Frolic is a lovable doe, small, sweet, and with a great temperament. Her easy-kidding trait is also very preferable, and her kids do not seem to throw to her bad points, such as her shoulders, neck and tiny teats. Frolic has been bred to Waygara Tauphan (Kidded!) for some more hopefully Toggenburg coloured kids, doe kids will be registered 'D' grade and all buck kids will be wethered unless asked for first, or if very good quality. |

24-9-09 Frolic kidded with triplets on the 11th, all three are
Toggenburg coloured, and the two bucks have toggles. One buck and one
doe are polled, and the other is horned (dis-budded) like his father. Waygara Star-rise will
probably be retained,(edit, sold) but the other two will be sold. Waygara Sea Eagle, a
handsome, elegant polled wether, and Waygara
Osprey, a heavier, cute and stout dis-budded wether, are also
both sold. Each has it's own individual traits
and
personalities. All are cute, with nice conformation and are well grown,
and Star and Eagle have inherited the lovely elegance she
throws to
most of her kids. Eagle is very good quality, and Star is very
beautiful. Star should be a great milker as
well. Ossy is more cute than anything
else, though he does have very good conformation.
Frolic and all of her triplets have now been sold. Left -This is Frolic at two years old, more than four months in kid with her January 09 twins, Seaspray and Moonrise. Her bulging belly shows how big her kids were, and she had swollen feet from the weight of them! |
Frolic on the milking stand at about two years old, about three months before kidding with Sea and Moon. |
Frolic, a bit thin after just having kids at a bit over two years of age. The black comes from some burnt trees, and is not her usual white colour. (though she is dirty so often that black is probably her usual colour by now) |
