This is Waygara Bonnie, first doe kid of Waygara Stud. She is a purebred Toggenburg, but cannot be registered as she has  a slightly overshot jaw. She is still a wonderul little girl, and will make a great pet or house milker .

Bonnie was a twin, but her mother's teats were too large to drink off, and her brother died, we think from too much milk after being force fed by hand. Bonnie wouldn't take milk, other than about 10 or 15ml, and looked almost premature, as her brother Tyco had taken all the nutrients and she was less than half his size. One of her eyes was blue and weeping, and she would keep it closed. Her eye healed at about two months old, and though she is still a little small she has almost caught up. Bonnie has nice, square conformation, with very well balanced body and head. She has very neat, well shaped hooves, strong, smooth legs with nice clean joints, and very nice shoulders and a smooth rump. She also has a very nice head and face, with good, clear markings and a small, tapered nose. Bonnie has a slightly undershot jaw, so after this kidding she will probably be sold as a wonderful little pet. However, Bonnie should make a lovely milker with a good udder and very good production, as her mother has the best production of all our does and her father has very good milk lines from his own father, and his mother is a very nice doe and has a very good udder. Bonnie has adopted Crys' (her half sister) as her twin sister, and they go around together, although they both now fit very well into the rest of the herd. Bonnie has grown up well and is a sweet little favourite. We have bred Bonnie to Murrungowar Zhivargo for some 'D' grade kids who will be sold.

6-12-09 Bonnie is now maiden milking about 50ml or so a day, and is looking very nice. I have taken new photos, they have been uploaded, sorted, sent to this computer, and I have gotten into them, so they will probably be finished tomorrow or later today.
Did them today - the top photo is one of them. The photo on the left is the previous top photo, of her at about four months old.

29-6-10 Bonnie is now in kid to Zhivargo, and due on the 14th of October. I have added a few more recent photos - one of her face, above, and another at the bottom of the page.

31-1-11 Bonnie kidded with a healthy, single buck kid last October. She and her kid are doing well. More recent photos may come later.
