This
is Waygara Twinkle Surprise, called Twinks for short. He got the
'Surprise' bit because we just went out and found he had been born, and
being the first live kid of the late 08 season, he really was a very

Twinkle was a huge, single kid, and has stayed quite large. He has a
big, open build, pretty good shoulders, very strong legs and hooves, a
nice neck and and a strong chest. He is a
lovely crossbred boy, and I have trained him the most tricks
of
all our goats. He is my special pet and also the first goat I have
trained to sit and lay down. His large flopped ears have straightened a
lot unfortunately, and he now looks very Toggenburg, whereas earlier
photos
show how flopped his ears were as a young kid. Twinkle is our first pack
goat, and will stay as a harness, trick and general work goat. He is
extremely friendly and people-orientated, much prefering people to his
own kind. Twinks has a beautiful face, and is often mistaken for a doe.

27-7-09 Twinkle is now a little bit bigger than his mother, and still growing. I am hoping he will get at least as big as his sire is at one year old, but I am not sure if his small mother will affect his growth. He has a lovely temperament and I have had little toddlers riding him already. I am working on training him to harness, but with kidding season approaching and schoolwork taking up most of my thought and time, I am progessing very slowly. I hope you enjoy the photos of Twinkle doing his job, tricks, and just lazing around. I don't have any current photos of him with his normal work pack on, but I will try to get some on here soon. |

17-11-09 Twinkle is now as big as an adult goat, and looks likely to keep on growing. He is losing his winter coat, and is looking a lot sleeker now, and more like the goats who have had blankets on over winter. He is strong and very well built, and can carry a small person easily. He is just as trainable and friendly, however, as when he was a kid, although I couldn't train him to lay now because he is way too big. I have gotten another photo or two and will put them up. 10-2-10 Twinkle has grown a lot and is as big as the tallest goats, and only not as muscled as his dad, though the same size. He has been working hard pulling a cart and being ridden, and is progressing very well. 24-9-10 Twinks is now a lot bigger than his dad, and just huge. 1-2-11 Twinkle is now too big for the goat cart, and Sea has taken over that job until I have a bigger cart available! Twinkle is going well with riding although I haven't done very much with him lately. He is such a sweety. |
